Maroubra – Rear Extension & External Upgrade

A residential renovation combining a rear extension and deck with major improvements to the front of the property, including a new driveway, landscaped entry and a carport designed to present more like an enclosed garage from the street.

The Maroubra project included a rear extension including new kitchen and new rear deck, creating additional living space and a stronger connection between the home and the backyard.

At the front of the property, the works included a new driveway and a new carport with a parapet-style façade and roller door, giving the appearance of a more enclosed garage while maintaining the practicality of a carport structure.

Front landscaping and general external upgrades were also completed to improve the overall presentation and access to the home.

Coordinating extension works with a complete external refresh

The project required careful coordination between the rear extension and deck works and the new front access, driveway and carport structure.

The carport façade was designed to give the front of the property a stronger architectural presence, while the driveway and landscaping tied the new work into the existing home.

The result was a more functional home with improved outdoor living at the rear and a noticeably stronger street presentation at the front.
